Galli Scrubs Off the Rust

Story Date : 20 Jan 2008

Gigi Galli Gigi Galli has admitted on his personal web site that he feels a little rusty and that he's become more used to driving a digger than a WRC car - he's been helping to finish his mother's house.

The Monte Carlo will be the first event for Galli and his new team. And he's keen to get going. With a new livery for the team, and a switch to Pirelli as the WRC control tyre, there's a lot to get enthusiastic about. He'll be driving a 2007-spec Ford Focus RS WRC on the 15 rounds of the WRC, and stands a great chance of uppoing his own profile and, at the same time, improving the fortunes of the Stobart team ... which were already pretty good.

He's looking forward to working with the team and getting let lose on what may be a snowy Monte Carlo 2008. Team Principal Malcom Wilson agreed, saying that he was "really excited" with Stobart's prospects, particularly for Monte which will be the first event on which the team will appear with three Stobart liveried cars.
